Mass communication encompasses the academic study of the various means by which individuals and entities relay information through mass media to large segments of the population at the same time.
This course tailors a vast range of majors which emphasises in individual skills in the preferred areas, such as journalism, public relations, media studies, media production, marketing and many more. Our aim is to provide a flexible supportive learning environment where students can obtain globally recognised professional qualifications, underpinned by educational innovations, strategic research of regional significance and international quality, as well as professional industry and community involvement. We assess and analyse students’ needs, and are always mindful of the diverse learning style of each of our student.
A growing mass media industry is constantly seeking staff with an understanding of how the industry functions. Career opportunities available to graduates include: Public Relations Officer, Administrator, Professional Marketing, Journalist, Management Officer, Broadcast Journalist, Digital Media Designer, Electronic Media Producer, and Advertising Designer amongst others.
