Description

The Bachelor of Communication offers students the opportunity to study Public Relations and Journalism majors, with a Creative Media minor. The Bachelor of Communication thus offers a flexible study pattern across several skill and knowledge-bases, while also allowing students to gain substantial progress toward career paths within specific disciplinary or professional fields. Graduates of the Bachelor of Communication should be able to apply both analytical and practical skills to further study, research, and employment in a wide range of careers.

Career Opportunities

Most organisations recognise the importance of communication to ensure the support of the public, media, government and their own staff. Opportunities exist in the areas of corporate public relations, government communication, lobbying, internal communication, political communication, fund-raising, crisis management, community engagement and liaison / event organisations.

Entry Requirements

  1. STPM/A-Level with at least pass 2 subjects or equivalent with min PNGK/CGPA 2.00;
  1. UEC with at least grade B in 5 subjects;
  1. Foundation in Arts/Communication/Commerce;
  1. Pass in Australian Capital Territory (Year 12)/ South Australia Certificate of Education (SACE)/ Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)/ Western Australia Certificate of Education (WACE)/ South Australia Matriculation (SAM)/ Tertiary Entrance Education (TEE);
  1. Diploma in Mass Communication or any related field;
  1. Any other certified qualification or equivalent by Malaysian Government;
  1. Minimum IELTS Band 6.0
