It was an outstanding achievement in the history of LCCI across the globe as Systematic College student, Pi Jia Wan, won 5 World Gold Medallion awards for the LCCI Series 2 2005 examination.

“To receive a World Gold Medallion, Pi must achieve more than 80% of the maximum marks. It is simply remarkable that she did it for 5 subjects,” said Jeffrey Soong, Regional Manager of London Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) International Qualifications.

According to Soong, the achievement of winning 5 World Gold Medallions by a single candidate is an outstanding accomplishment on an international front. Pi's result reveals her acumen and grasp of accounting knowledge.

A student of Systematic College 's campus in Kuala Lumpur, Pi won World Gold Medallions in Level 3 subjects for Accounting, Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, Business Statistics, and Advanced Business Calculations.

Triumphant with her achievement, a joyous Pi said, “I cannot help but be thankful for the support of the academic staff of SCKL as my achievement is due to their dedication and assistance. The fruit of achievement is not to be only honored by the one who bears it, but also by those who have planted the seed and care and nurture it to grow and flourish.”

“I give credit of my achievement to my lecturer, Ms. Lim Gaik Hong, who guided me in Cost Accounting and Accounting. Ms. Lim makes learning easy to understand and her approachable manner made me feel comfortable to ask her any questions, no matter how silly they are,” said Pi gratefully.

Well, no matter how silly her questions were during lessons, no one would consider her silly after her 5 World Gold Medallion prizes.

When asked the secret of her success, Pi shared that she religiously prepares herself before classes as it allowed her to retain more information.

“You have more to gain than loose if you prepare before class. Think of it this way – take 2 hours to prepare before classes and study 2 hours after, it is the same amount of time as studying 4 hours after classes. However, the knowledge retention rate for preparing 2 hours before and studying 2 hours after classes is much higher than studying 4 hours after,” shared Pi on her study formula.

This year, Systematic College Kuala Lumpur also congratulated LCCI award winners Lau Ping Ping (Malaysia Gold Medal Award and Medallion for Level 3 Accounting) and Wong Yin Teng (World Silver Medal for Level 3 Advanced Business Calculations).
