20th September 2005 Studying in Malaysia has its advantages especially for working adults. The University of Southern Queensland (USQ) have for years provided the Master of Business Administration (MBA) to working adults in Malaysia . “The USQ programme has always been popular with working adults as the programme is structured to meet their obligations of work and family life,” said Bruce Lim, Senior Director of Marketing with the University's partner for recruitment and local support, Systematic Management Resource Centre Sdn. The Toowoomba campus is USQ's main campus that is just a ten minutes drive from the city of Toowomba . The city is about 90 minutes drive from the Queensland capital, Brisbane .

The graduation in Australia promotion includes a free return air ticket for the graduate sponsored by USQ. Accommodation and land travel in Toowoomba can be arranged at a special rate. The promotion is for those who sign up for the USQ MBA programme this September intake.

The Good University Guide for Australian universities rated this year the University of Southern Queensland 5-star rating for undergraduate entry flexibility and 5-star rating for postgraduate positive graduate outcomes and success in getting a job. The university also won the Commonwealth Open Learning 2004 award. The Australian Universities Quality Agency reports that internationally, USQ is a leader in developing innovative programme delivery while at the same time maintaining a strong commitment to educational quality.

With a constant large number of students registered for the programme, the University is able to offer 12 areas of specialisation in Malaysia to cater to most industries. The 12 areas are e-Business, Law, Finance, Human Resource Management, Accounting, Management, Project Management, Leadership, Marketing, Personal Financial Planning, Information Technology and International Business.
