Glitz & Glam at SEGi Kuala Lumpur Prom Night

10th November 2006 SEGi College Kuala Lumpur held its annual Prom Night recently. The event was graced by the Vice President of Operations of SEG International Bhd and the Principal of SEGi College Kuala Lumpur, Hew Moi Lan. “I didn't expect such a big crowd coming to the prom. Everybody seems to enjoy the party,” said Hew. The event which was organised by the students was successfully held in a glitzy ballroom at the Equatorial Hotel. The event was organised to welcome new students and also to bid farewell to the final year students. |
“Hosting a prom is not an easy job to be done as there are many things that need to be taken care of. What more it is organised by our students, I have to say they have done a great job!” said Hew.
The Master of Ceremony for the event started the ball rolling with a refreshing introduction and this was followed by an invigorating welcome speech by the night's VIPs. Performances for the night included a hip hop break dance and an entertaining singing competition.
What's a prom if it's without the prom king and the prom queen? The prom king was Suresh Kumar A/L Letchumanan, who is currently pursuing his Diploma in Business Administration. On the other hand, the prom queen was a student from the Faculty of Accountancy, Sharon Liew Mei Hung. She is doing her Diploma in Accountancy.
Another highlight of the day was the performance from 8TV host and upcoming artiste, Gary Yap, who performed 3 songs from his recently released debut album “Yearning”. Gary 's performance was absolutely entertaining. Some of the audiences even sang along with him.
When asked, Hew explained “ SEGi College is not only a place for students to carve their knowledge but a place to have fun too! We want our students to enjoy their study experience here with us.”
