Catch the exciting Psychology Conference at SEGi

An exciting SEGi Psychology Conference 2009 will be held on 8 July (Wednesday) from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. at SEGi College Subang Jaya. All students studying Psychology at diploma and degree level should not miss the conference, as pertinent topics on psychology will be tabled at the plenary sessions by well accomplished and very experienced speakers and practitioners of psychology.

The conference is also open to anyone who is interested in the field of psychology. However, anyone who is keen on learning more about creative thinking and critical thinking will also benefit from this conference. Some of the top experts in the field will be present to share their secrets.

 
Some of the notable topics which will be addressed during theconference are ‘Critical thinking in cognitive functioning’ and ‘Creative thinking & problem-solving’.

Ms Frances Penafort, an accomplished speaker who has been in the training field for the past 22 years, is among the knowledgeable presenters who will grace the event. Ms Penafort has designed corporate training programs for various organizations such as Petronas, AIA International Group, Antah Schindler, Phillips Malaysia, SMIDEC, Sunway Management Group, DRB-HICOM, Public Bank, SBB Mutual, Olympus Cameras, UEM, LOREA’L, Damansara Specialist Hospital, Guthrie and many others.

Another of the speakers, Dr. Ananda Kumar Palaniappan, is an Educational Psychologist, specialising in Organisational Creativity, Creative Problem Solving and Creative Innovation. Among many other achievements, he conducts workshops on creativity and innovation, organizational creativity, organizational behavior and creative problem-solving for numerous groups worldwide.

The other speakers attending the event include Ms Matilda Xavier, an experienced clinical psychologist, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nor Faridah Abdul Manaf, Ms Sarine Tan and Mr Anant Kasibhatla.

The conference is organised by American Degree Program students majoring in Psychology who set up the SEGi Psychology Club at SEGi College Subang Jaya. The American Degree Program offered at SEGi Group of Institutions is conducted in collaboration with Upper Iowa University, USA.
