SEGi College Sarawak’s Diploma in Law student Phyllis Mok is a prime example of how, with a little hardwork and determination, students can excel in their studies.

The 24-year-old student wowed her teachers and fellow class mates when she graduated with First Class Honours for her Bachelor of Laws from Northumbria University in Newcastle, UK.

In addition, she was also the recipient of the Oxford University Press Law Prize for the Best Overall Performance by an Overseas Student during the recent Northumbria University’s Graduation Ceremony.
v“There’s no secret to my achievement,” said Mok, explaining that the good results she achieved at SEGi College for the Diploma in Law carried weight towards the final score of the Bachelor of Laws.

“If other students want to achieve First Class Honours, they need to maintain high score in the Diploma stage. One of the reasons I was able to achieve First Class Honours was because I did well in my Diploma in Law.”

“I would also encourage student’s pursuing their law degree in Northumbria University to read and research outside of the text with materials such as journals and periodicals as this will add marks to their examinations.”v
SEGi College Sarawak’s intake for the law programmes is in progress and the closing date is September 1st. For more information about the programmes, call 082-252566, fax 082-231355 or email infoswk@segi.edu.my.
