SEGi College student Hansen Lee is the first DJ reality show winner of Flydol organised by leading radio station, FlyFM.

“I was really happy that I won as my fellow finalists are very competitive and all of them are very talented,” said Hansen, who is currently pursuing the 4+0 American Degree Program (ADP) offered by The Faculty of American Degree Studies at SEGi College of Graduate Studies, a member of SEGi Group of Colleges.

Not only blessed with a gift of the gab, Hansen is also a marketer, a freelance model and a fitness trainer. With such a demanding life, time management is essential to him.

“Time management is very important in my life, and I always make sure everything is in its tip-top condition as I cannot afford to make any slight mistake. My air-time in FlyFM is at 6am early in the morning during weekends. I have to wake up at 4am to catch a train. I cannot oversleep or miss the train because I might just miss my air-time,” explains Hansen.

“Other than that, I do not live in Subang, and my college is located at USJ, so I have to drive a long way just to attend a 2-hour class but I make it a must as a degree is something that I owe to myself, and I want to complete it.”

With such an interesting life with many career possibilities, Hansen still holds fast to his belief in obtaining higher education. “Studying has been something that I have always wanted to do, although I might be busy as I am working in so many areas. Things do not come easily as I have to sacrifice a lot of my time, no more weekend late night parties for me.”

The Flydol crown didn't come easily for Hansen. He put in a lot of hard work and effort to pursue his dream in becoming a DJ. “Flydol was like a job interview to me, winning the title is equal to winning a job, a job that I have always wanted, that I have always dreamed of,” explained Hansen.

“Winning Flydol doesn't mean you are the king of the world, it is actually the beginning of another phase of being a DJ,” adds Hansen humbly. “I am still learning and undergoing training, well, I would say I am more like an intern, as I am working, learning and doing training at the same time. It is a fruitful training for me as I do learn a lot of new knowledge.”
