SEGi Students is Malaysia's Number One in LCCI

4th October 2006 Chew Ai Leen is the best in Malaysia for the LCCI subject of Cost Accounting! When approached recently, the Malaysia Gold 2005 winner said she was pleasantly surprised by her achievement and she did not expect to be the best for the LCCI subject. “When I received my LCCI results, I was both happy and surprised. All my hard work was worth!” said Chew who is currently studying at SEGi College Kuala Lumpur (SCKL). Sharing her study habits, Chew said, “It was tough work studying to pass the examination. I did a lot of past year question papers as I knew it was one of the ways for me to understand the concept of the examination better. Besides, I also had a lot of group discussions with my classmates. Basically, I spend a lot of time doing my revision.”

One does not achieve success without assistance, for Chew, it was her lecturer at SCKL that contributed a lot to her success. “I have to thank my Cost Accounting lecturer, Mrs Lim, for being an inspiration and help for me to grasp the principles of cost accounting.”

Chew's decision to study at SCKL was based on the college's reputation and trust.

“SCKL has nearly 30 years of experience in providing LCCI and ACCA courses. On top of that, SEGi College is my mother's alma mater. She was the one who influenced me to take up the course in SEGi College ,” explained Chew.

On future plans, Chew is aiming to establish her nursery care centre or to open a café. “I had always wanted to be a financial controller as I like management. However, right now, I wish to have my own nursery for young children or a café.”

SEGi College Kuala Lumpur has a strong reputation as a provider of professional programmes. Pi was the top student in the world for Accounting, Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, Business Statistics and Advanced Business Calculation.

Other than professional courses, SEGi Colleges in Subang Jaya, Petaling Jaya, Penang and Sarawak also offers academic based programmes of degree, diploma and foundation courses.
