21st September 2007 - Astro Talent Quest Champion, Chan Kwok Fai made a lasting impression during his recent promotional visit to SEGi College, Malaysia to debut his brand new album, “Vois”.

According to Lee Kok Cheng, Chief Operating Officer of SEG International Bhd and Principal of SEGi College, Malaysia, “This is a great opportunity for our students to see first-hand and also learn how this talented youth manages his overnight fame while maintaining his everyday routine. As for our Student Council, this is good practice for them to learn about PR and Advertising & Promotion because it is their task to create the awareness and publicise the event among our students.”

“Many efforts were taken prior to the “Big Day”. The Student Council made posters and placed them all around the college to publicise the event. We also distributed flyers and with the help of the IT department, sent out mass emails to our students to hype up the event. On the actual day, we put up specially designed signages to direct students to Auditorium A where Kwok Fai had his mini concert,” said Ling, the President of the Student Council.

Enthusiastic fans held posters and flowers and some even with plush toys since as early as 10.00am, waiting for the sight of their superstar, Kwok Fai. Upon his arrival at noon, fans started swarming towards him, some screaming and cheering. Some even started to sing his songs.

“The turn-up was fantastic! I think we did a good job in promoting Kwok Fai’s mini concert. It was truly a task telling everyone about the event and I am pleased with the turn-up for the mini concert today. It is simply great!” enthused Ling.

“You can see Kwok Fai’s happy expression written all over his face. He seems very delighted with the reaction of the crowd and was waving back to his fans as he walked towards the auditorium,” added Ling.

Kwok Fai kicked off the mini concert with the performance of a few numbers from his new album ‘Vois’. He ended the show in a special performance, singing the song which won him the Astro Talent Quest 2005. His energetic and youthful performances captured the crowd’s full attention. It was clear that everyone was mesmerized by his superb performances.

“I am so excited, I am ecstatic that I have this opportunity to see Kwok Fai LIVE! I was so excited when I saw his posters around the college. I am truly a big fan. I just cannot believe he actually came to the college for his mini concert. This is just a dream come true!” said Jimmy, a third year student pursuing his Degree in Business Administration.

“I am so thrilled. I had so much fun. I still can’t believe this is happening,” laughed Crystal, an engineering student.

Outside the Auditorium, a special booth was set up to give students a chance to obtain the singer’s latest album. Scores of students lined up to purchase the album after listening to Kwok Fai’s performance.
