13 November 2009 This year SEGi saw 350 students graduate from degree programmes in partnership with the University of Sunderland (UK) alone. As well as this collaboration, SEGi has academic partnerships with 11 other well established universities in the US, Australia, New Zealand and India for a wide variety of courses. The Sunderland Graduation Ceremony was held at the Multi-Purpose Hall of SEGi University College on 24th of October with around 240 graduates present to receive their certificates after 3 years of hard work. Proud graduates accompanied by their families, SEGi University College academic staff and University of Sunderland (UOS) academic staff filled the hall. The graduating students received their Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Accounting & Financial Management, Business & Management, and Computer Studies. Also graduating on that day were University of Sunderland students from the Engineering Faculty who received their Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Congratulating the graduates on the success achieved, Professor Peter Fidler, Vice Chancellor & Chief Executive from the University of Sunderland, said “the graduates who are present today to receive their awards have demonstrated great dedication and discipline in achieving academic goals across a range of subjects.” He was pleased to partner with SEGi University College as the Group is committed to providing students with a platform to achieve their dreams.
