The first year Master of Pharmacy students were blessed to experience the significant event held on 21 September 2011 at SEGi University College. This event was officiated by Professor Awang, Vice Chancellor of SEGi University College, and Dr. Tey Kim Kuan, Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy. The students wore their brand new white coats, signifying the commencement of their journey in this career. The students took, in unison, a pledge of professionalism similar to the Hippocratic Oath, which stresses the primacy of their relationship with patients and the importance of compassion in medicine. The white coat does not just represent professionalism in uniform, but also signifies the transition in attitude and mindset towards achieving high quality in healthcare. |
