From its creation in 1881, The London Chamber of Commerce recognized the need for improved commercial and technical secondary education alongside advanced foreign language courses. The Commercial Education Committee of the London Chamber of Commerce was appointed in 1887, and the first LCCI examinations were held later that same year.

LCCI, from the United Kingdom, as an international awarding body offering over 60 separate qualifications in 22 subjects including Accounting, Marketing, IT, Business English and Management. LCCI was established more than 100 years ago, receives more than 500,000 exam registrations every year.
