“Studying at SEGi College Sarawak has been great. I'm really enjoying the Law programme here as it covers a broad range of subjects, looking at the functional areas of law as well as strategy and personal development. I find the course very useful and I look forward to apply what I have learnt back home in my country”.

Described as the most attractive city in Southeast Asia, Kuching is one of the most liveable and people-friendly cities in the region.

Kuching, which means cat in the Malay language, has all the modern amenities without losing its old world charm. Multi-storey buildings blend with structures from colonial days and the colorful Malay and Chinese shop houses.

The Sarawak River has long been the centre of Kuching life and the Waterfront, a beautifully landscaped esplanade, is the main gathering place for Kuching's population, especially as the sunsets beyond the scenic Matang Mountains.

Across the river is the Astana, once the home of the White Rajahs, now the Governor's residence. Nearby are Fort Margherita and the colourful Malay kampung. All are well worth the short sampan ride across the river.

Just across the road is the Main Bazaar, once the city's commercial centre, now housing curio and antique shops, travel agents and coffee shops. Nearby is the Sarawak Museum with its beautiful gardens and the park built round the old town reservoir.

Within the city centre are air-conditioned shopping malls where branded goods as well as local handicrafts and food outlets are found.

Eating is a favorite pastime with Kuching's people and there's such a variety to chose from, Western, Malay, Chinese, Indian. Try the roadside stalls or the food outlets in the malls.
